This is the poem:
นี่คือกลอนที่ว่า

Around the corner I have a friend,
ฉันมีเพื่อนที่อยู่ไม่ไกล
In this great city that has no end,
ในเมืองใหญ่ที่ไม่มีวันหลับไหล
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
และเวลา ก็ยังคงผ่านไป
And before I know it, a year is gone.
ฉันไม่เคยรู้ว่านานแค่ไหน
And I never see my old friends face,
แต่ฉันไม่เคยเจอเพื่อนเก่าคนนั้น
For life is a swift and terrible race,

he knows I like him just as well,

And now we are busy, tired men.
แต่ตอนนี้เรายุ่งและเหนื่อยล้า
Tired of playing a foolish game,
ต้องฟันผ่ากับเกมอันหลากหลาย
Tired of trying to make a name.
เหนื่อยหน่ายกับการสร้างชื่อ
'Tomorrow' I say! 'I will call on Jim
พรุ่งนี้แล้วกันนะฉันจะโทรหา
Just to show that I'm thinking of him.'
ปลอบตัวเองว่าเรายังมีเพื่อนให้คิดถึงอยู่
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
แต่พรุ่งนี้ผ่านมาแล้วก็ผ่านไป
And distance between us grows and grows.

Around the corner, yet miles away,
เพื่อนที่อยู่ใกล้กลับเหมือนอยู่ห่างร้อยไมล์
'Here's a telegram sir,' 'Jim died today.'
จนได้ข่าวว่าเพื่อนจากเราไป
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
นี่คือ สิ่งที่เราสมควรได้หรืออย่างไร
Around the corner, a vanished friend.
ที่ตรงนั้นไม่ไกล แต่ว่าเพื่อนฉันไม่อยู่อีกต่อไป
Remember to always say what you mean.
จงพูดอย่างที่ใจคิด
If you love someone, tell them.
ถ้าคุณรักใครสักคนก็บอกเขาไป
Don't be afraid to express yourself.
อย่ากลัวที่จะเผยความรู้สึก
Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you.
เปิดใจ และบอกคนที่มีความหมายกับคุณ
Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late.
เพราะหากคุณรอจนถึงเวลาที่เหมาะสม วันนั้นอาจจะช้าไป
Seize the day. Never have regrets.
หาโอกาสในวันนี้ แล้วคุณจะไม่มีวันเสียใจทีหลัง
And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family,
for they have helped make you the person that you are today.
สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุด จงอย่าละเลยเพื่อนและครอบครัว
